In this section we are going to plant tree seeds and we are going to see how they grow until they can be transplanted. Specifically, we are going to focus on acorns (to produce holm oaks) and pine nuts (to produce pine trees). We will plant them from germination, then in small pots to be able to plant them in the wild.

PLANTING ACORNS TO PROVIDE HOLM OAKS
We are going to plant acorns, from the moment they are harvested, until they grow into beautiful enzyme seeds which we will then plant outside, so that they can continue to grow. The collection point in this case is El Pardo in Madrid. We are going to plant it first at home and then to grow it in Las Tablas, Madrid.
You can see the whole step by step in this post: Planting Acorns
PLANTING PINE NUTS TO GIVE PINE TREES
We collect pine nuts, from a stone pine, in order to plant them and from there we will be able to grow large pine trees. Pine trees take between 2o and 30 years to produce pine cones, so it will be a very long-lasting project :). The place of collection in this case is La Pineda, Tarragona to plant later in Las Tablas, Madrid.
You can see all the step-by-step and follow-up (it will always be updated) here: planting pine nuts.
